Wow fudge you are really going after these guys. Let's be nice. All I know this is still the best fantasy surf site out there. Of course there are ways to improve. Yes i agree it would be nice to have info on injuries etc. However it is an even playing field and we all have the opportunity to do our own research. Keep in mind we are living in the age of information. Try Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.

FASL, looks like Owen, Freddy, and John John are questionable. Any chance you could put a "hazard" sign next to their name so everyone is aware of this risk? Could you find some kind of news feed as to their status? Any info at all would give us some inclination of the probability they compete or not, and we can choose our teams accordingly. Help. Please.

Hey, FASL I decide how many teams and how much $ to spend based on Values that I see. Please stop adjusting, resetting. It would be better if you just waited to RE-OPEN trading, once Values were correct, I know there are changes, but we should be able to keep whatever values we originally purchased, at least we could do this before with classic FASL, I'm getting really annoyed, and will probably opt out of games in the future.

@ hashtag have you ever giving any thought to offering a buy 2 games get 1 free "for the same game only" this way I think you will sell more spots, have more players and have a bigger prize. I really not liking the buy a game for $5.75 or $5.25 whatever it is and the winner only getting $25. Risk $5 to win only $25 is kind of funky to me. I know there's only 10 players but....

And we try to run Games for all size pocketbooks and risk tolerance. The 10 Player Games have a 30% chance of winning (not taking into account Player's abilities). The 3 Player - 33% and Head to Head - 50%. You're not going to find those kinds of odds in the Big Payout Games. Depends what you are in to - but the small Games fill up very well every Event, while some of the Big Payout Games haven't.

bigkev - Honestly, the buy 2 games, get 1 Free sounds like a coding nightmare. And what happens when you delete 1 Game? Do you lose the Free one too? And now 2 Games might be canceled for not filling up. Thanks for the input - but I do not think that will happen.

Hey RT. No, sorry. One of the complaints that we received consistently for the original FASL was of Players entering the same Game with multiple Teams. Now granted, the complaints were usually about Players with 20 Teams. We made FASL 2.0 so that Players could enter as many Games as they wanted, but only 1 time.

Look I love your sight and being a part of it. Surprised you guys aren't making solid money like you should be. I have nothing against you guys making money at all that was never my angle at all. The more you make is obviously a result of how much your customers are spending. Looks like you guys need to offer more tournaments why not have 5 of these running from $5 - $50. Take the total prize pool and divide the $ amongst the top 10%. You get 10% from the entry fee. Pretty simple Hash!!

Right on DreMon. You are very welcome here and we appreciate your input. It felt like you took 2 swipes at that one, so I felt like I needed to explain it from our perspective. No harm meant - or done. We're pretty transparent here at FASL and work hard to make our Game as good as it can be - for you guys. Regarding your input above - it's a fine line. We offered too many Games for the beginning of the Season and a few didn't fill up and canceled. There were a few Players pretty bummed.

DreMon - The justification is that the $500 was guaranteed -whether 2 Players signed up or 81. You didn't have to stay in the Game if you didn't like how many Players signed up. Do you think FASL is a charity? Do you hold it against us if we try to make money? Do you think we like working are tails off for peanuts? or even $310? Do you think that even comes close to covering our overhead?

Juggling quite a few teams/games chearytree so missing one (as you have too) can happen. The question was asked and I would have been happy with any outcome as advised by Hashtag. If you don't ask you don't get. But in light of the mistake I had made I am happy for FASL to charge me the buy in and continue with the game, as it is a season not a single event.

pointreyes - In the 3 Man Heats (Rd 1 & 4) only the Winner's score counts toward your FASL score. Otherwise, the Losers of those heats would have the advantage because they get to surf twice. full scoring rules in "How to Play"

It would be more exciting if the scores were accurately updated throughout the competition. Instead, the current scores are nonsense, so it's tough to know where you stand without crunching numbers on paper. I think that's the biggest improvement necessary to the site right now.

Can somebody explain what the percentage for each surfer means? I don't see anything about it in the 'How to play' section. Also, does the order of my surfers have anything to do with score? For example, let's say Dane Reynolds wins 1st place. If I have Dane in the 7th spot on my team, would my score be different if I had him in the 1st spot?

Highest seed does get lowest seed which is why Parko was against Dorrington in rd1 and why they will meet in again in rd2. Dane should of been 2 mil and Dorrington 1 mil. That's what is throwing u off.

Your Game didn't fill up - so it canceled out and refunded to your account. There is a notice above the Game Grid that says "Games not filled by Event start will auto-credit back to Player's accounts"

You can import a Team from one Event Game (in this case Snapper) to another Event Game. You just click Import Team and click the Game you'd like to copy from. Thanks for pointing it out! It's a cool featre!

I understand why they went up but If I or anyone were to join a 10 man or 25 man tourney now we would be paying more for Melling and Dusty than the earlier players giving them an advantage. Hawaii is a separate country, and alternates can be from duplicate countries (there's only 9 countries total). I'm thinking we should make it so you can have ONE double-up (example: 2 aussies). Try picking a team with no duplicates, then try it allowing just one duplicate and you'll see how the dynamic changes.

FASL- when a rider goes out for the season due to injury, can you make it possible that we get the current value of the rider when traded in rather than what he was bought for. it sucks to gain 10million or so then lose it all when hes traded. For eg. Vince Friese, bought for 1 million, now worth 10. Cant even buy someone who qualifies for a main for that amount. Thanks

That's what the alternates are for. Withdrawals, Injuries and No Shows are part of Surfing. We can't change that. It's up to the Player to adapt. Otherwise, accept your place behind the Players that do.

hauleents - It should be listed with your Games in the box with your Account Info and Balance in the upper right corner of this page. If it isn't - please let us know. Click on Edit Team and at the bottom of the trading section there is an icon for Twitter, Facebook and email. Use any or all of thos options to share your Game with friends.

I don't, but I know it can't be right that Damien Hobgood and Freddy Pattachia are NOT in the competition according to the ASP website, but if they aren't then that sucks to blow 25 million on someone who's not even surfing. Not saying it's this site's fault. ASP and event sponsors are notoriously lame at being on top of this stuff. I just wonder how the surfers know when and who they're surfing against.

Sorry guys, I only just noticed the chat panel within each game. Given that they are already present, I think that you just need to keep this thread (comments) for admin/account/site discussion on both sports and then split the live chat so that there is one for each sport. I'm fairly sure that's what Booty was saying anyway.

It totally depends on the intended purposes of your forums. I figure that there should be 3 tiers: 1. a universal 'admin' tab for all players to discuss bugs/improvements etc. 2. two 'comments' tabs - one for each sport - to discuss events, injuries, specific sport info and inviting players to games. 3. 'live chat' tabs that open up for specific events (ie Pipe) so that we can talk trash about judging/heats/athletes etc. These could open a few days before and close a few days after each event.

Game 228 locked at 7:50 PHX time - which is 6:50 here in California. If you still want to see Game #207 - you can click on "Profile" at the top right corner of the screen and then click on the Games tab. It lists every Game you've signed up for and you can look at scores.

You probably checked Scores immediately after we updated them and before we switched out the Alternates. We can only do 1 at a time. 1st - We update scores. It's Live - so everyone can see their scores. 2nd - We switch Riders that did not Race out with Alternates - this adjusts Player's scores who had alternate switches in their Teams - thus adjusting ranks of Players. We're pretty methodical - since there is money on the line - so it takes time. Hope that makes sense?

I do have a concern regarding games that don't fill up. I know that you just refund the money but my worry is getting skunked and playing a game that don't fill up and losing out to play. Like for instance you now have 2 games for 25 players with a $2.30 buy in games 219 and 227 and both have 4 players signed up it would blow if 1 game ended up 21 players and the other 4 players and nobody gets to play. Do I make any sense or should one 25 player game fill up before ya add a 2nd

You make sense. However I think you missed something - One of the 25 Player Games is for the 2013 SX Season and the other is just for A1 (one Event).

in other words..we are getting lazier and lazier and looking for ways to maximize profit while decreasing workload. Jaybay there was 295 season teams(i happen to know because I had one that i never picked) 295x9.99 =2947.50 ...Some of those people paid less for in packages. So with a 5,000 pay out they lost quite a bit on leagues. So forcing the 200 players on here to play 3-4 games per event where they make 1-4 dollars a game is their answer..I wonder if they'd sell me the old site to work with

Hey FASL still having some issues with the Import Team button specifically for the Sunset comp. Using iPhone or iPad it is only bringing across a few of the surfers. Hey Sharkies - Sure. We cannot switch over the Paypal account from FASL 1.0 to 2.0 until after the 2012 Season has finished. (and there is no way to link it to both sites). But, you can deposit money direct into our account and we will credit your account here on 2.0. Hope that helps.

thanks for the updates. We're working on scrolling problems in all of the different browsers/OS. In the meantime, you should be able to zoom in/out as a workaround to see results for Portugal.

Good question balyn. We will not include an overall leaderboard per game. Players will just see leaderboards for the Games that they've entered. We feel like an overall leaderboard could create confusion, ie. "wait, i don't get it - i won my game, but i'm 25th in the event leaderboard?"

The "Bad Team" message should be gone now (after a page refresh and cache clear). You just can't see the teams yet because no scores have been entered. As soon as a score gets entered you will be able to see all your opponents.

I think it would be cool if there were some prize pools for best score after round 1 and maybe round 3. So instead of waiting the whole comp for a winner you can win throughout the comp. This is kind of off topic but will these prize pools be available for prime events on the QS? Would be great if that were possible. Maybe next year premium season and event teams for the prime events as well if there is enough interest. I am in.

Season Average stats are inccorrect. Def way faster loading on chrome PC than on Safari mac. Agree with time stamp/scroll on the live chat but also a forum type system may be an option. Maybe having event status and or link to current events website. In edit team being able to rearrange order of competitors according to the filters provided. What happens if a game, lets say with 10 people, only has 7 when event starts?

And i know this is a stretch but during events if its even possible to have a tab with the event feed and livechat on same screen i think would be a grandslam. Being able to watch and chat on same screen during event would be killer! You guys are doing great! Thanks again!

Love the layout, very clean and easy to navigate. 1. Using IE8 with Chrome on PC 2. Live chat needs time stamp. 3. Live chat scroll bar keeps setting to bottom of page and when I drag to top it stays for about 1 second then resets to bottom of page making it difficult to read past comments. Not a big issue now the Comments is running smooth. 4. Monthly Leader board looks good in Alphabetical order however stops at “O”. Noticed this as my team name starts with “P”.

Thanks Pedros. The monthly leaderboard is just capped at the top 20 right now. We will discuss what the optimum number is.
